Red river

It's a hot morning hour. The air is hot and stifling. Vapors and stench rise in misty swirls along the banks of the river. The dark, oily water is in constant motion.
Here and there bubbles with poisonous gases float up from the depths and burst. Red and white porous slippery masses rise above the surface. They slowly pulsate, breathe heavily, ooze pink liquid, burst and reunite.
